Necromunda was the second of the Games Workshop games that I played "properly."
That is to say, by actually trying to follow the rules!
Now, Previous to Necromunda, I played Warhammer 40k. Like most people, I collected Space Marines, which if I remember rightly I painted in a terrible Ultramarines / Night lords combination. However, i never really enjoyed it. There are some that like the squad based, 30 figures a side type game, however I always preferred skirmishes.
When I discovered Necromunda, that was it!
So, I sat down with my copy of Necro, opened it, built the scenery, the miniatures, and began playing with my brother. It was fantastic. Then, I bought myself some Van Saar (I liked the Beards) and some Skavvies (I liked the bits falling off them)
I played extensively through my youth. However, as I grew up, i began losing interest, and then, stopped altogether one day..
But I never forgot!
Hence why I have re-started my interest in the hobby!
