Ex-Illis, another reason to use my Ipod
When I first heard of Ex-illis, I thought it looked good, but played badly.
Then, the whole company seemed to vanish into the depths of bankruptcy and so on, which didn't seem like a bad thing at the time!
But it's back, and I've actually become a player of it!
The game in general is quite simplistic, and doesn't take too long to play. I've had a few games, each of which lasts for about 20 mins, half an hour. it's a brilliant introduction game into wargaming, as there are no dice to throw, the miniatures are surprisingly hardy, and if they want to progress onto other fantasy games, the miniatures can easily be used for that as well!
But take a free piece of advice, mount them on 20 / 25mm square bases. It's not quite as pretty it's true, but it's far easier for it you ever want to use the mini's for multiple games. Round bases really don't stack up well in Fantasy!
